Duo² was formed by pianists Kanako Ninomiya and Sara Vujadinovic in 2016. The piano duo, based in Brussels, explores the works for two pianos and piano four-hands, in search for new dimensions in the art of interpretation. The focus of their repertory is centered on the late Romantic period, the 20th Century, and the music of our time. The Japanese-born Kanako, and the Serbian-born Sara had their Duo² debut recital at the Midis Minimes festival in Brussels in 2017. In the same year, at the “Triomphe de l'Art” international competition in Brussels, they were awarded the second prize, as well as the special jury prize. Duo² frequently performs in Belgium, in recitals for two pianos or piano fourhands. In March of 2018, Sara and Kanako gave a masterclass and played three recitals at the HARMOS festival in Porto, Portugal. Kanako Ninomiya and Sara Vujadinovic are currently pursuing postgradguate Concertmusicus program for chamber music at the Royal Flemish Conservatory, in the class of Professor Thomas Dieltjens.
